Cyril Kazan

Hi! I’m Cyril, a fourth-year physiology student born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. I founded the MSBDA in March 2021 in response to the severe blood shortages we were experiencing because of the pandemic. Thanks to our amazing team and collaborators at Héma-Québec, we managed to recruit many new blood, plasma, and stem cell donors from the McGill community. However, we are still experiencing blood shortages in the province, our plasma supply is still largely insufficient, and patients in need of stem cells still struggle to find a match, especially if they are not Caucasian. That’s why we must keep maximizing our efforts. I’m looking forward to all the fun and impactful projects we have planned for you this year!
